The Merani Scholarship Program in Partnership with Niagara University
Investing in Education
At Merani Hotel Group, we believe that investing in education is an investment in the future of hospitality. That’s why, in 2018, we proudly partnered with Niagara University to establish the Merani Scholarship—a program designed to support and inspire the next generation of leaders in the hotel, restaurant, and tourism industries.
Each year, one deserving student enrolled in Hotel & Restaurant Management or Tourism & Recreation Management at Niagara University is awarded the Merani Scholarship. Valued at $30,000 over four years ($7,500 per year), the scholarship helps ease the financial burden of higher education while encouraging students to pursue their passion for hospitality.
Invaluable Hands-On Experience
Beyond financial support, the scholarship provides recipients with invaluable hands-on experience, offering the opportunity to train and work alongside Merani executives at one of our hotel properties. This practical exposure augments the knowledge gained in the classroom, preparing students to become the outstanding hospitality leaders of tomorrow.
Recipients are chosen through the Merani Scholarship Committee, which carefully selects awardees by consensus, ensuring that each recipient demonstrates both academic excellence and a commitment to the values of hospitality.

At Merani Hotel Group, our commitment to education extends beyond the university level. We proudly partner with Niagara Falls High School and SUNY Niagara to provide paid internship opportunities for students interested in pursuing careers in hospitality.
These internships allow students to gain valuable real-world experience across our hotels and restaurants, working directly with our professional teams in areas such as guest services, food and beverage, and hotel operations. By offering hands-on training, we give students the chance to build skills, grow confidence, and explore the many career paths available in the hospitality industry.
